چکیده

One of the most important components an aircraft is landing gear. In today`s modern gears, mostly oleo-pneumatic shock struts are used. Analytically, gear can be modeled as a mass-spring-damper system. The model used in study included such strut, tire and wheel. Furthermore, tapered metering pin was added to order control area orifice by which hydraulic oil flows during act impact force. Conceptual Design of Single-Acting Oleo-Pneumatic Shock Absorber in Landing Gear with Combined Method

Landing gear is a structure that is mounted under the fuselage and helps the aircraft in takeoffs and landings. The most important duty of landing gear is the control of vibration exerted on the system through the shock absorber which is a common component to all the landing gear. Considering the importance of this issue, the necessity of investigating shock absorber with features such as high ...

Aircraft Landing Gear Design & Development

Landing gear is one of the critical subsystems of an aircraft. The need to design landing gear with minimum weight, minimum volume, high performance, improved life, and reduced life cycle cost have posed many challenges to landing gear designers and practitioners. Further, it is essential to reduce the landing gear design and development cycle time while meeting all the regulatory and safety re...

Simulation of the Dynamic Behavior of Aircraft landing Gear Systems

Simulation and the resulting prediction of the dynamic behavior of an aircraft and its landing gear system during ground maneuvers is an essential part in the design process. A realistic estimation of unwanted oscillations, such as gear walk and shimmy, for the landing gear and whole aircraft can be readily obtained with an MBS-model. It is then possible to adjust the model for changes in the s...

Detection of fatigue crack growth in aircraft landing gear

Preliminary testing of a complete landing gear under fatigue test has demonstrated the applicability of the test using Acoustic Emission (AE) resonant sensors attached to the outer surface of the landing gear assembly. Attenuation trials were conducted which confirmed that attenuation through the main casing is low and provided data for optimisation of sensor positioning. Background noise level...

Models for Aircraft Landing Optimization

Due to an anticipated increase in air traffic during the next decade, air traffic control in busy airports is one of the main challenges confronting controllers in the near future. Since the runway is often a bottleneck in an airport system, there is great interest in optimizing usage of the runway. Our study first presents a brief review of the aircraft landing problem. A model for the problem...
